From January 2019 to the beginning of Lent we will be offering four courses to help us grow as followers of Jesus Christ.

These are open to all (pick whichever one suits you) and will take place on Wednesday evenings.

Parenting for Faith

The goal of this course is to help parents discover that they are perfectly positioned to show their children the reality of a life with God and to empower them to have their own vibrant two-way relationship with him. This course will build on the style and ethos of SJ Club and all of our ministry with children. The course will inspire, equip and encourage both parents and those who minister with children in our various groups and activities.

The Prayer Course

Jesus made prayer a top priority, so it really should be a priority for us as Christians too, but it can be difficult, confusing and even boring. However, help is here with the Prayer Course. Over 6 sessions based on the Lord’s Prayer we will cover topics such as intercession, dealing with disappointment, learning to listen to God and spiritual warfare. The Prayer Course is a simple, practical introduction to a vast and exciting subject, covering the simplest foundations of prayer. It is for everyone, but in particular those looking to follow on from the Alpha Course and those who simply want to get better at talking to God and hearing his voice.

Connecting with God

Do you want to draw closer to God? Reinvigorate your prayer life by exploring well-established, centuries-old ways of coming into God’s presence-based on everyday life and Bible passages. This is a chance both to learn and practise.

The Bible Course

The Bible Course (produced by the Bible Society) is accessible and interactive; it will enhance and inform your ongoing Bible study, whether you are new to the Bible or want to go deeper. Using a unique storyline, the course shows how the key events, books and characters all fit together. You’ll get to see the BIG picture and discover how the Bible applies to your life.
