Training

Refuel, Recharge, Restore

From January to the beginning of Lent we will be offering three courses to help us engage with God, grow as followers of Jesus Christ and deepen our faith.

These are open to all (pick whichever one suits you) and will take place on Wednesday evenings. To sign up to a course please contact the office.

Parenting for Faith

The goal of the course is to help parents (and grandparents) discover that they are perfectly positioned to show their children the reality of a life with God and to empower them to have their own vibrant two-way relationship with him. Over the eight weeks we will each think through a vision for why we parent for faith and develop a toolkit to help us do it. Here is a link to a two minute trailer.

The Bible Course

The Bible Course (produced by the Bible Society) is accessible and interactive; it will enhance and inform your ongoing Bible study, whether you are new to the Bible or want to go deeper. Using a unique storyline, the course shows how the key events, books and characters all fit together. You’ll get to see the BIG picture and discover how the Bible applies to your life.

When Faith Gets Shaken

This six-session DVD course is presented by Patrick Regan and brings alive some honest reflections on how we can focus on God and keep going when our faith gets shaken. Filmed on location in London, Patrick uses Scripture, powerful personal testimony as well as interviews with friends, family members and colleagues to lead us through how we can rethink trust, peace, courage, surrender, guilt and hope when we face uncertainties and feel as though life is falling apart. Discussion starters help is to explore and hear what God may be whispering along the way. Patrick Regan will be preaching at our 10.45am service at Histon on 12 January (in the Saint Andrew’s Centre).
