A Peaceable Kingdom for Turbulent Times

This is a warm invitation to a weekend of engaging teaching at St Andrew’s, Histon and St John’s, Waterbeach. Dr Stephen Backhouse will present on Jesus’ central message: the kingdom of God, and its relevance for the way we live as a Christian community in contemporary culture.
The programme is as follows:
Saturday 25 January, St Andrew’s Centre, Histon
9.30am – Registration and coffee
10-11am – Session 1
11-11.30am – Q&A and refreshments
11.30am-12.30pm – Session 2
Sunday 26 January, St John’s, Waterbeach
7-9pm – Sessions 3 and 4
The cost of the weekend is £15 per person, payable by cheque or cash at registration at Histon. Cheques should be made payable to ‘St Andrew’s Histon PCC’. If you can only attend on one of the days, the cost is £10.
Stephen is the director and primary teacher of Tent Theology, and is passionate about resourcing the local church and making theology accessible to everyone.
He is an international speaker and teacher. For over two decades he has been delivering real theology to thousands of Christians around the world in churches, universities, schools, festivals, political party conferences, youth camps, newspapers, magazines, television and podcasts. Stephen has a doctorate from the University of Oxford and multiple masters degrees from McGill University in Montreal and Oxford, where he also did his undergraduate studies in philosophy and theology.
